Danish Greenkeepers Association Founded in 1963
Since 1963 the association has evolved into a strong membership organisation with over 550 members spread over more than 160 golf courses in Denmark. Its prime goals are to serve the interests of its members and bring Danish greenkeeping up to the highest professional standard i.e. capable of producing world class golf courses.
The Danish Greenkeepers Association is a non-political organisation that welcomes everyone whose work is connected to the greenkeeping profession. We believe that the best way to move forward is by collaborating and sharing relevant experience in order to give our members the information they need to build a good career in this industry.
Education is a key part of the Association’s remit.
To ensure the exchange of knowledge - both operational and technical - the Association promotes contact between all greenkeepers, The Danish Golf Union, the Danish government and the many organisations and vendors that supply the golf course industry in Denmark.
To become a member of The Danish Greenkeepers Association you have to be employed in a Danish Golf Club.
However, the Board of the Association may also approve or invite others to become members.
The main contact between the Association’s members, equipment manufacturers and suppliers is through the pages of the magazine "Greenkeeperen". This award-winning magazine is published four times a year. It is distributed directly to all the Association’s members, to golf clubs, and to all the major golf and environmental organisations in Denmark.
The magazine is also sent to the other greenkeeper associations in Scandinavia.
